Robin Antoinette Stockton
As a working artist and musician, Robin has enjoyed a myriad of successes and the kinds of failures that have driven her passion and determination to grow continually, and always seek humility, grace and to be the kind of person who builds up those around her.

Robin began her musical training, classical flute, with Irene Maddox and Eldred Spell (WCU). Her primary mentor was Mark Thomas(UNCC & beyond), founder and honorary lifetime president of the National Flute Association. She co-founded the Queen City Flute Choir, played with the Lake Norman Orchestra, and other various groups the Charlotte area. Robin has composed over 20 original works, but her greatest joy is the success of her students. As a visual artist, Robin enjoyed being a resident studio artist in the Green Rice Gallery (Charlotte, NC) a 2013 featured artist with the Laguna Art Gallery (Laguna Beach, CA). She has served on the board and as member artist with the Charlotte Art League. She primarily works with acrylics, and in the abstract - finding joy in the fluidity of line, balancing the unpredictable, and making order amidst chaos.
